I suggest using different sprites for the rocket, maybe something that looks more like a flare.

I see an updated Mario mod in the future. T have nothing to say that hasn't been said before. Just change the rocket into something else.

The cybruiser's rockets look like fireworks IMO, maybe ask the sprite author to borrow those sprites for editing.

Well, the problem is that this kind of thing isn't really a special effect - at least not what I understand the SFX Shoppe.
