Yeah, the midtexture at the very least needs to go all the way to top and bottom. Or replace it with one that can work not reaching the ground. Either way, change it.

I dunno, the midtexture gives a sort of feel of abstractness, which is what Hell is all about. If anything, the ends of the midtexture should be detached from the map geometry :P

Yeah but then a different midtexture should be used. This particular one is meant to connect and it just looks bad. There's a difference between abstract and bad.
