Haven't had time to look at any of these, but just for future reference, your information fields are a little messed up.

Connections: (Heretic) Uses the death animation from the Undead Warrior

Connections are only if you use the same actors, sprites or sounds (same filename or same sound, or whatever) as another actor on the Beastiary. For example, you said the Bone Eater has similar sounds as the Vulgar. Things like that aren't necessary to mention.

Quote:
Melee: Pops off its head and sprays bugs at you

It's just a yes or no as to whether or not it has a melee state. :P

Quote:
Added States: Once it enters its, melee attack mode it will spray clouds of bugs forever

"Added states" is only used to say if the monster, weapon, item, etc. relies on a state added into a player class or another monster, not if states have been added to this monster.

Hope that clears things up. These monsters do look pretty interesting. :D

Oh I see, I will fix the monsters.
I will also add that that they require heretic just in case people do not know.

Other than that, I pretty much like it :) Though I'd suggest making the cape black or dark grey and removing the green glow in the death state as it doesn't fit somehow.

I found a shade of green and dark grey that I like.
Is there a program that will apply the translations to the sprites without having to manually adjust each one in gimp?

Recent SVN builds of SLADE 3 (see my sig for a link) have a color remap feature. Open the image, look at the "Graphics" menu that appeared, and there you can use the "Colour Remap" option. Then you can just paste a ZDoom-style translation string. Should work, but haven't been thoroughly tested yet so if you have some problems with it please report them. O:-)
I want YOU to read the wiki.
And this one too. Also, SLADE3.

Is there a compiled version, I spent 2 hours setting up wxwidgets and I have 605 errors. :'-(

I'm using Visual Studio 2010 on Win 7 32bit.

Yes, there are compiled builds available.
http://svn.drdteam.org/slade/
That's just behind the "Builds" link on the wiki frontpage...

The translation worked, but there are a few issues I discovered.

If you have a translation with the second part reversed the GUI will not display the selection, when the translation is applied it will change the color exactly as intended. Here is the string I used "145:168=211:224", "248:251=210:209"
The translation process is a bit tedious it would be nice if it could run on multiple sprites at once.
If it could remember the last translation you used that would come in handy.
If you could edit the translation string by hand that would also be quicker.
When you try to optimize multiple PNGs it will tell you that the PNG tool is not defined for each PNG.

Other than that it worked perfectly :-D

Oblivion Knight updated, now in black and green

Much better, definitely nice, though 2 more suggestions:
  • First, make them pngs with their own palette (can be done in Slade afaik), so they can be used also in Hexen without any trouble
  • Second, make the life of the flies a little bit shorter and don't let them travel through solid walls, that's wierd.
