Can't Play it with Skulltag :-(

Apparently Bouncetype isn't in skulltag yet.

I think skulltag fails! Since it's always a problem with it. Atleast compared to gzdoom/zdoom.

Yeah I think that people should stop whining about weapons not working in skulltag, most of these weapons are made for (g)zdoom,so of course they're not working on Skulltag.

Skulltag has valid reasons to "lag behind" ZDoom. Most people in the ZDoom community are modders, who follow development to make use of new features in their works-in-progress. Most people in the Skulltag community, on the other hand, are players. Given that, it's important for "ZDoomers" that each new version brings something new; while it's important for "Skulltaggers" that each new version doesn't break something old.

So, Skulltag alternates between phases of rapid catching-up with ZDoom and phases of waiting to be sure the code is nice and stable. Kinda like some applications go into stages of feature freezes where the only changes allowed to the code is to fix bugs, and only once it's estimated to be stable enough for release then full development may resume.

If you go there, you'll see six pages of bugs. Granted, some are [Not Skulltag] -- they concern something else such as IDE, or are bugs inherited from ZDoom or GZDoom and should first be fixed there. But nevertheless, who can fault Torr for concentrating on bug fixing in such conditions?
I want YOU to read the wiki.
And this one too. Also, SLADE3.

I was just about to say that too. Zdoom is more of an open source engine, while skulltag is.... well, not that much open source.
Personally, i don't get why it has to be named after doom. Why not strife, hexen and let's not forget the best one Heretic! But i guess if it would be called zheretic i would ask why it isn't called zdoom.

Because Doom is Doom.

No Doom = No Strife, No Heretic, No Hexen.

Doom rocks, because it's just it Doom!

This doesn't make any sense.

Anyway, ZDoom is called ZDoom because it started as a Doom port. We're talking about April 7, 1998 here. Heretic and Hexen support was added progressively afterwards, first from reverse engineering and then, once the code was released, by importing it. For example, the actors and their states were added in March 1999 (and even then, not all of them). Loading the Heretic and Hexen IWADs was only added in February 2000. Support was mostly complete around 2003, though there were still many bugs and some features (such as the loading screens) are a very recent addition. Minor actors were still not all implemented by this time, for example it's in 2004 that the Hexen dripping water actor was added.

It's in 2003 that Strife support started being added. The Strife teaser was fully playable in July 2004, with the full version following soon after.

Chex Quest support was added in 2008.

Not a bad weapon. The grenade/missile itself seems a little big in my eyes. Other than that it's pretty good.
