The first X slots could be done in Hexen format, and then the map converted to UDMF and finished this way.
I want YOU to read the wiki.

Last I checked, UDMF has support for named scripts now so I would think that would be the better choice for background scripting/effects.

Indeed... Phase 2 might become a problem then. Concerning DB2, do you have a second computer or a laptop running any Windows that can handle DB2?

Hmm. Maybe if this extremely convulted master plan succeeds I'll have a working db2 environment up. :)

So atm, Dusk seems to be the only one who runs into real trouble if we work with UDMF afaik. Let's hope he gets this problem solved I guess :)
