That's a good base, but unfortunately it's not in the Doom palette. I'll try to work with those though!

In any case, it's propably a good idea to use this wad as a base, because
A. I fixed some purple pixels on the sprites that weren't in the Doom palette and thus appeared translucent and
B. I got the sprite offsets right IMHO and it has been a bit tricky
One question Ghastly, you said that you need an in-between frame where it is holding the projectile;
what exactly does that mean?
Would it suffice to add the projectile to the hand of the first firing frame or do you need a completely new frame between the first and second sprite? The latter could become difficult and I'm not sure if I have the time doing it!
Anyway, I'm off working on the spikey projectile now
