I think we should stop talking about sonic, let's talk about the submission.

K

I tried the weapon, it's alright, the animation is a bit rigid though.

Hmm, while I like the weapon, it still needs a bit more polish. I tweaked the fire animation a tiny bit (it looks odd that the gun jerks upward while firing) and decreased the alt-fire firing speed (making it the same as the primary almost completely negates the primary's existence).

Biggest change, though, was chopping the nail damage down greatly. I can't believe how incredibly overpowered this thing was compared to Doom's normal weapons. Two seconds to kill a cyberdemon? Holy wow.

Well... it's a slight bit better now -- still very powerful but somewhere within the acceptable range of usability, I hope. :P

Not a bad piece of work now, though. The projectile animation is a great one regardless. :P

@Xaser: Thanks. your edit is great.(much smoother recoil) I've updated my first post with this version, and with appropriate credits.

Getting off topic a bit, I'm surprised nobody's mentioned the sonic screwdriver,(Dr. Who reference for those who are clueless), now if only we had some sonic lumber, then we could build a sweet sonic Trojan horse

Was this too subtle?

What is a sonic nail? Is it related to the sonic screw?
I want YOU to read the wiki.
And this one too. Also, SLADE3.

I chuckled at the reference -- subtle in a good way, that. :P

I do have to say that the nail variant is quite a bit more deadly... to the average human, at least. The Doctor's screwdriver is the most dangerous weapon in the universe given the fact that The Doctor is wielding it. ;)

Considering that while he can die, he doesn't stay dead... Yes. :-P

I've added the ability to dual-wield the Sonic Nail gun

No.

I rummaged through my collection of stuff and found some suitable base-sprites that with some editing became what is now in the first post. The new sprites are centered, (yay), and thus the dual nail gun has been removed.

Sorry this sat so long. O:)

Important notes before adding:
  • Credits lump needs to be updated.
  • Repackage it without Info.txt, the Info in the wad will suffice.
  • Needs a new name, I recommend Nail Rifle or Pulse Nailgun.
