doom"Watch monsters and demons you may have never seen before, enter the zoo, take a look at the Beastiary!" Yeah, after only a few days of work (yes yes, this looks almost like a Doom workaholic) I have finished the official Doom Beastiary, filled with over 60 custom monsters for ZDoom, GZDoom and Skulltag. Feel free to use them, don't forget to credit and maybe even contribute your very own monsters to this archiv. Lots of thx to all the contributers that already put their monsters for free use in the Monster Resource WAD some years ago! Zunge raus Update: Added some descriptions to the monsters, thx to Doomshadow for these!

Great!

Nice work! I think this will be pretty useful for everybody!
I'm personally
most happy for the medieval monsters, as they perfectly fit in my medieval rpg
i'm making. :roll
Yeah!
Tormentor667 (87.165.32.162) 2007-06-22 13:37

Glad to hear that
more info
T_Dee (89.176.218.91) 2007-06-24 18:21

Thats definetely great work, but I would appreciate more info about each
monster. Unfortunatly I know only few of them...
KeksDose (85.179.101.48) 2007-06-25 00:15

This rocks, even if I know almost every single of them. :roll I could submit
some when I see fit ;)
Hint
.+:icytux:+. (85.157.12.8) 2007-06-30 18:12

it was wry nice tough it would be much more handsome if there was one zip with
all of them too... ;)
By The Way?
.+:icytux:+. (85.157.12.8) 2007-07-02 15:30

How do you publish your own monsters to this thing... should i send them to you
(torm) or what should i do. tough they arent so good sprited so someone could
maybe edit them a bit or something like that.
InsanityBringer (24.12.148.48) 2007-07-03 20:45

This is very useful. It makes it eaiser to get some of the monsters in the MRW
and other sources
Guest (85.157.12.8) 2007-07-08 17:48

What to do if you want to send your own monsters? you dont need to put them into
the bestiary if you think they suck but at least you can test them and if
their good they can be put into the bestiary :roll
Neat
hi5 (81.154.138.18) 2007-07-09 19:20

Good stuff here. But I think 60 monsters ain't enough. Anyway keep up the good
work.

p.s do you think you could get the Deimos guardian monster from kdizd
into the beastiary?
AWESOME!
Guest of AWesomeness (86.133.244.182) 2007-07-10 21:56

Great stuff. The brusier demon dude is really hard to beat, even harder in Knee
deep in zdoom.

Like hi5 asked is it possible for you to place the deimos
guardian (magmantis) into the beastiary? Keep it going!
Guest (87.123.136.23) 2007-07-21 17:30

The problem is, that the Magmantis needs plenty of scripts, mapspots and tagged
sectors to work right, wich decreases it's usefulness for other maps...
with a
bit work, it could be modified to fit the map it is needed in though.
Great work
BoldEnglishman (86.3.121.57) 2007-07-27 16:50

Thanks for hosting(?) all of these monsters, but is it possible to download all
monsters in one zip?
Also...
BoldEnglishman (86.3.121.57) 2007-07-27 18:10

...is it possible to include the names of the monsters (as in what the console
calls them)... I've tried summoning monsters, such as the Acolyte and all I get
is an invisible 'thing' :S Thx!
Dumb question alert
Guest (81.96.72.112) 2007-07-30 15:40

This is like... amazing! Can you use these in a wad to replace the monsters in a
doom map in gzdoom? I'd love to give them a go.
(continued)
BoldEnglishman (86.3.121.57) 2007-08-01 20:18

I've managed to figure out what most of the monsters are called but at the time
of this writing *sigh* there are still some I don't know of. The Acolyte,
Cultist, Enhanced Cacodemon, Hell Hound, Imp Trite and Nightmare I can't figure
out. Oh yeah my bad about the Acolyte before, I found out that the Acolyte is an
enemy from Strife (oops!)
This and That
Tormentor667 (87.165.38.127) 2007-08-06 12:35

To summon the monsters ingame just open the wad files with XWE or any other
wad manager and take a look at the DECORATe. There you will see what
they are called. And no, I won't compile one big file with all the monsters. Download all of
them, put them in a PK3 and you do have all
BoldEnglishman (86.3.121.57) 2007-08-22 13:50

OK I haven't tried using XWE so now's a reason to try it! I've put some into a
PK3, and thus figured out why you can't put them ALL into a single file ;)
Thanks for the reply

Broken Links
EarthQuake (96.230.209.219) 2008-03-10 13:22

There are some broken download links in this Beastiary. I sent a PM on the
doomworld forums speficying which ones. Luckily I was able to figure
out what the file names were supposed to be, so I have them all on my hard drive now.
Tormentor667 (87.165.44.86) 2008-03-10 13:30

Thx for pointing out, I will fix that immediately!
