...Actually, an Idea just came to me. What if I have this as an update on said Bearkiller Shotgun? Can I do that?

I don't think so, this is vastly different from the BearKiller shotgun. Sprites aside, this weapon deals almost as much damage as the BFG. The one thing this improves over the Bearkiller is the smoother animation, but that wouldn't be enough to warrant an update, UNLESS you can make the sprites widescreen friendly.
Alternatively, you should find different sprites for it, and improve the presentation (a wooden shotgun that fires a red and yellow rail looks ridiculous IMO)

Unfortunately I'd have to agree. Though the thought and intention might be creative and imaginative, the platform itself is a copy and mutation of an existing mod.

Perhaps changing the sprite set completely and reworking the function could really pay off. Not to say, abandon this altogether. This is a great opportunity to source alternatives and add a unique function to an already saturated library of shotguns.

Including new sprites.

That's where the problem lies. I can't make sprites, so I guess this thing is doomed.
