I like the idea, but the sprites need some work so the small and big health pickups don't look too similar.

Yes I agree they were a little bit too similar and could be confused in the heat of the battle. I made the extract bottle a bit smaller and changed the color of the corks to green for the essence and blue for the extract. I think now it should be a lot easier to tell them apart. Updated the download and the preview sprite.

hm now that I think about it, maybe I should switch colors for the corks? Blue for the big one and green for the small one, akin to armor colors...

edit: yeah I think that makes more sense. Updated the file and the preview once more.

Why would it need GLDEFS? There are no brightmaps, all frames have the bright keyword.

Or are you talking about dynamic lights? Sure, I can add some, will probably look better in the dark.
