Its basically the pistol, but a bit more powerful, and is a NES Zapper.

We have the Apple iGun, so why not this one too?
Pickup messages don't recognize name placeholders, so replace the "%k" with a "You".
Personally I think the volume of the shot is too loud, you should reduce it to 0.5 in the SNDINFO.
Have you considered using a custom puff that resembles the light flashes in the games? Something like this:

I added the puff and i also turned down the volume of the shot
