[SUBMISSION] MG-45 was created by Doomperson 999
Info:

Class: Level 4
Type: Hitscan
Palette: Doom
Summon: MG45
Ammotype: HiCal
AltFire: No

Sprites: Blackmore1014, Demirgon, willkuer
Sounds: ZVX, Sgt. Mk. IV, willkuer, Sound Dogs, ZMC
Code: Doomperson 999, willkuer, BFGMajorMike, ZMC, elSebas54
Idea Base: Einheitsmaschinengewehr (The Universal Machine Gun Concept).

It's pretty much a rip of the MG-42 from Brutal Doom: Black Edition, but with some changes to make it a standalone weapon. It fires at a ludicrously fast speed and sounds punchy while being punchy. It doesn't need reloading and uses a special ammo type.

Description:
In 1944, the material shortages of the Third Reich led to the development of a newer material-saving simplified version of the MG 42, the MG 45 (or MG 42V). It fires at a faster rate than that of the MG-42, which, even with its
original fire rate, could sever limbs and cut people in half with its bullet barrage.

Hey so you know the sound doesn't work but it's easy to fix, just change the sound name from "MG42.ogg" to just "MG42"

My thoughts:

- The firing sounds are a little too loud for headphone users.
- The ammo icon is too large for the HUD and could be scaled down.

Otherwise seems pretty cool to me.

[strike]1. How can it be scaled down on the HUD? I managed to scale down the previously humongous ammo pickup sprite, but I don't exactly know how to resize the HUD icon.
[/strike](Ammo Icon Issue Resolved!: Made a TEXTURES lump for it and scaled it down.)
[strike]2. Yes, I know the MG-42 is just a BIT too loud, but I don't think that needs any changing, because it's way cooler that way. (Which is really a dumb excuse hiding the fact that I have no sweet clue how to increase/decrease the volume of a specific sound effect. Help.)
[/strike] (Sound Issue Resolved!: Set the volume in the SNDINFO lump to 0.5)
Also, I'm planning on releasing the finalized version of it after all the fixes have been made and all the features added. So, you'll be helping me a lot by pointing out some of the problems with this weapon.

You can create a new, smaller scaled version of the ammo sprite using the TEXTURES lump, then set that as the ammo icon in the weapon code. Something like this works quite well, though have not tested it thoroughly.

I was sure these ammo icons used to be scaled automatically, something must have changed.

Also, I have some special effects for it ready, like Muzzle Smoke, bullet casings, and a zoom-out while firing the weapon to emphasize its recoil, but I don't know if I should implement them or not. Should I?

(This decision affects the final release of the weapon.)
